How I work and how I'm paid
Short answer
I'm an independent finder, not your broker, lawyer or agent. I tell you whether your records may be worth licensing and, with your written OK, introduce you to a buyer or broker. I'm paid only if a deal closes, by the buyer or broker, under a written finder's agreement. You pay me no fees or costs. I don't negotiate or set prices.
My role
I'm an independent finder. I'm not your broker, your lawyer or your agent, and I don't act for the buyer in the deal either. I tell you whether your records may be worth licensing and, if you want, introduce you to a buyer or broker. That's where my part ends.

How I'm paid
- Only if a deal closes. No deal, no fee.
- By the buyer or broker, under a written finder's agreement. Never by you.
- You pay me no fees or costs, upfront or later: no retainer, no setup fee, no charge for the fit check.
- For the broker programs I use, the fee comes out of the broker's share, not yours. With any other buyer, ask them to confirm it in writing.
- I'll tell you that I'm paid and by whom. The exact fee may be confidential under the buyer's terms.
Because the buyer pays me, I'm not neutral. Have your own lawyer review any licence.
What I do
- Read your short description of what you have, and tell you whether buyers look for it, including when the answer is no.
- Share what usually rules records out: client confidentiality, personal data, records you don't own. This is general information, not legal advice.
- With your written OK, introduce you to a licensing buyer or broker.
What I don't do
- I don't negotiate for you, and I don't set or suggest prices. You and the buyer agree price and terms directly.
- I don't give legal, tax or investment advice.
- I don't sign anything on your behalf.
- I don't ask for, hold or move your files. Any transfer happens between you and the buyer, under their licence.
- I don't broker the sale of your business.
- Published deal figures on this site are other firms' public claims, shown as ranges. They aren't offers or estimates for you, and I don't name buyers next to them.
